Program and Services

Our program and services are broken down into phases as we prepare males for Enrollment, Enlistment, Employment, Entrepreneurship and Empowerment

Phase I: The Institute for Leadership Education and Development (iLEAD)

Phase I is our empowerment phase for our male students, their families, K-12 educators and community leaders which includes monthly workshops, 4-6 week seminars, weekend retreats and biyearly conferences.
Our curriculum-based trainings are designed to prepare students, parents and community leaders on principles of leadership to apply in their sphere of influence. With training occurring throughout the year, participants will experience opportunities to grow spiritually, mentally, emotionally and socially to become growing leaders who become authentic world influencers.

Phase III: Data Driven Afterschool Programming

Our afterschool programming focuses on our functional values of Engagement, Enrichment and Empowerment. We offer activities in academic tutoring, SAT/ACT prep, mentoring, Saturday Enrichments, college and cultural visits, financial literacy, book clubs, parental sessions, business partnerships, job shadowing opportunities and career-related guest speakers.

Our four-step process allow students to:

  1. Uncover what problem they desire to solve in the world

  2. Define that career/entrepreneur pursuit

  3. Discover the major that meets the need

  4. Explore the appropriate postsecondary educational institution to meet this gift and purpose in life.

Serving as a supplemental enrichment environment, our program serves in partnership to decrease the number of students who drop out of school each year. Our blended program provides  academic instruction, both face to face and online, mentoring coaches, curriculum based workshops classes designed to work on such skills as anger management, conflict resolution and other skills to promote college access and future readiness.
